Classes & Events
All art classes are taught by Dawn who has over 30 years experience as Head of Art in island secondary schools.
Dawn's philosophy is to develop each person's unique creativity by empowering the creative process through clear and guided sessions, developing confidence and personal growth in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Courses are suitable for all levels but if you are not sure which one would be the most suitable for you contact Dawn to discuss what you would like to achieve.
1:1 sessions are available and gift vouchers can be purchased for a lesson or series of sessions.
Our lessons are ongoing, but you are welcome to join at any time, subject to availability.
Groups are small so early booking is recommended.
Blocks of lessons can be purchased 10 sessions at a time.
Watercolour & Inks / Weekly
Understand the techniques required to produce beautiful work in watercolours including colour mixing, paint application, wet on wet and wet on dry processes. Take inspiration from the natural world and create a beautiful watercolour painting each session.
£25 per session

Acrylic Painting 2 / Weekly
This is a teacher-led course to develop skills in colour mixing and paint application using acrylic paints while also developing each student's individual creative style.
Inspiration will be taken from real life objects and landscape images provided.

Every Tuesday: 14:00-16:00
Drawing / Weekly
From developing observational drawing skills to understanding composition and proportion, this course teaches you to draw using a range of media, developing individual creativity, mark making and expression exploring different themes and processes.

Acrylic Painting on Canvas - individual projects / Weekly
This class is for people who wish to develop their own painting ideas by working from their own photographs, learning how to reproduce these images on canvas or paper in acrylic paints.
